10th avenue is the last remaining slummy part of manhattan .. its inhabitants range from rockers to the hipster wannabes residing in lofts to the homeless to criminals of every sort .. as peaceful as any ghost town in the day, this quiet, grungy refuge has a seedier and darker nature at night ..

when i first came to this my only thought was "oh cool broken glass" .. it is a shame that i didn't realize that this was a smashed car door window until i was editing this .. it makes you wonder .. what was taken? the radio? an expensive item left in the car? the car itself? we will never know .. all we have is this frozen aftermath of theft .. the thing that the desperate or (overtly lazy and greedy) resort to ...
